We believe in fully understanding a client’s brief, expectations and budget prior to sending a proposal so that the outcome is what you, the client, envisioned. Our knowledgeable team will plan the logistics and think about the behind-the-scenes necessities that will be required to pull off your grand ideas. We strive to maintain transparency with our clients from the onset so that there are no surprise bills later on and will also advise the limitations of certain venues and locations so as not to disappoint. We believe you’re only as good as your last event and are continually improving upon our knowledge within the industry by keeping up with trends and taking all feedback received from clients very seriously so that we constantly improve our service.

Your designated coordinator manages your account from initial enquiry, meeting and site visit, through to the conceptualisation stage and proposal approval right through to execution on the day ensuring that everything runs smoothly so that you can relax and actually enjoy the evening. Your coordinator will manage all the suppliers and service providers and maintain a one-invoice model with no extra charges on the final bill without your approval.

Full event coordination: From the red carpet that your guest’s set foot to on entrance right through to the entertainment on stage and a tailor made menu in a venue that fits your event like a glove, our full package is your hassle-free all-encompassing service that will manage every aspect of your event including transfers, accommodation, room drops, VIP lounges, décor, catering, entertainment, speakers, lighting effects, DJs and anything else you might require for your event.

Event coordination: So you’ve already chosen your venue but you need a professional to help with all the rest, our event coordination service allows us to apply our expertise within the industry and bring that skill set to you, wherever your dream venue might be.

On the day coordination: Ok, so you’ve managed to organise everything yourself but feel that on the day you would like to be able to actually mingle with your guests rather than running around ensuring that everything goes according to plan. That’s where our logistical maestros will step in and take charge coordinating all the suppliers according to the times specified and also that any special requests or dietaries are not forgotten giving you more time to make the rounds and effortlessly host the event.

EVENTS MANAGER - Lloyd Brown

Soon after graduating from the International Hotel School in 2008 with a hospitality management diploma, Lloyd worked at Frenchman’s Creek Beach and Country Club. For four years where he would spend his winters working in sunny Miami and his summers in New York, before moving back and joining the team at Asara Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. He also assisted in the launch of the Eden Bleu hotel in the Seychelles, where after he joined the Village n Life family.

EVENTS COORDINATOR - Janine Pitzer

Janine was first exposed to the the business of events during an internship at a luxury 5-star Cape Town hotel while obtaining her certificate in Food & Beverage Management. After her studies Janine moved to Dubai and worked as Guest Relations Executive for Jumeirah group. Janine is an avid baker with and enjoys working in a fast paced, dynamic environment. She started with us in July 2015 and looks forward to planning your event with you!

Dan Thomas

EVENTS COORDINATOR - Dan Thomas

Dan Thomas completed her studies in Conference, Exhibition and Event Management at Damelin Private College. Starting her own Promotion and Events business, Dan strived to stay abreast in the Event Industry. Once graduated, she went on to manage various events at KOL and the Democratic Alliance. In 2014 she joined Julie Killias Events as a Wedding and Event Assistant where among other projects and events; she assisted the team in coordinating the attendance of John Legend at a private wedding. Dan Thomas has a passion for weddings, fashion and event planning. Joining the VNL Events team in January 2017, Dan enjoys going the extra mile to make your event and wedding as special as possible.
